THE OLD POST OFFICE +44 (0)1451 850 701

We’re always looking for people to wholeheartedly look after our café guests on the shop floor and from the kitchen.
Our team members come from different backgrounds and work experiences, but we come together as a close-knit team, helping each other out and mucking in. It’s an opportunity to meet people and make friends in a welcoming community environment, while perfecting some skills like how to make the perfect cappuccino or Post Office breakfast.
And as we have a passion for good food and good coffee, you’re guaranteed a tasty lunch and delicious coffee while on shift!
We’re a friendly, family-owned village café in Guiting Power, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Café Manager to join our small team. This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys working with people, leading a team and making sure customers receive a warm welcome and excellent service.
Why work with us?
· We’re an independent village café rather than a large chain. Our customers and our team are genuinely important to us.
· You’ll work with a small, friendly team, get to know our lovely regular customers and play an important part in running a much-loved local café.
· Meals and coffee provided on shift
· Competitive pay
· Free parking
· Uniform provided
· Employee discount
· Full training and progression opportunities
· A friendly and supportive working environment
· The opportunity to become an important part of a family-run local business

· Maintaining excellent customer service and high standards
· Organising staff and managing daily service
· Training and developing team members
· Monitoring stock and working with suppliers
· Ensuring food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness standards are maintained
· Dealing confidently with customers and resolving issues when needed
· Helping the team during busy periods and getting stuck in wherever needed
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
· Friendly, approachable and confident
· Organised, reliable and responsible
· Hands-on and willing to lead by example, a strong team player
· Comfortable leading and motivating others
· Happy working in a busy environment
· Passionate about good food, coffee and customer service
· Positive, enthusiastic and able to use their initiative
· Hospitality and leadership experience is preferred, ideally around three years, but we’re particularly interested in finding someone with the right attitude and enthusiasm.
If you’re looking for a hands-on management role, daytime hours and a genuinely friendly place to work, we’d love to meet you.
Love brunch, busy services and making great food? We’re looking for a brilliant cook to join us!
· £12.80–£14.50 per hour
· 30–45 hours per week
· Daytime shifts — approx. 8am–4:30pm
· NO evenings
· NO split shifts
· Meals and coffee on shift
· Free parking and uniform provided
· Employee discount
You’ll be part of a small, friendly team serving fresh, high-quality brunch in a busy daytime kitchen.
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, calm under pressure, takes pride in their food and can work independently while being a great team player.
If you want a great daytime role with a better work-life balance, we’d love to hear from you!
Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
· Midweek availability is a must.
· Competitive pay from £12.80 depending on experience.
· We're looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic people with a genuine interest in cooking, good coffee and talking to our lovely locals.
